The baseband on my phone is messed up and it says repair needed. Earlier that would be a piece of cake to fix, just upload baseband files and flash it manually.

With 1.1.4 that seems to be an impossible task...

I've tried restoring to every firmware version, it ONLY works to restore to 1.1.4 (of course i get error because of baseband flashing, but i can boot it to normal mode).

The problem is that i can't get Terminal working correctly. AFAIK, it's not running as root, and i can't do chmod command for instance: "Operation not permitted".

I can't run "su" command either, because it says wrong password (alpine). I think i need the "sulib fix" or something like that, but how on earth am i going to get that installed when i can't install it through Installer, and i can't run any of the necessary commands manually either because i'm not root...

Does anyone know what i can do?

And are there any ways to change file permissions from pc/mac? When i transfer bbupdater/ieraser with ibrickr/ifuturistic(?) they are not executable when they get on the phone even though the permission is set correctly on the source (mac).

Btw, iLiberty can't flash the baseband either, cause it will stop on "finding bootloader version" - Not the smartest idea to search for that when the purpose is to repair (= it is broken).

Use iLiberty to re-jailbreak and install Installer.app and BSD Subsystem.

try jailbreaking with iplus, it install a working version of terminal and BSD

i will to try this:

Try the following:

1 - erase bb with ziphone 3.0 twice - phone works
2 - run pwnage on the mac (select the recommended settings) - phone works
3 - option restore modified IWPS in tunes as described by pwnage - phone freeze
4 - erase bb with ziphone 3.0 - phone works
5 - run neuter on the phone set bb to unlock

The result is that the phone works, you have IMEI and GPRS, but no BT & WIFI.

Only hitch is that any reboot freezes the phone, then just repeat 4 & 5, and you continue working.

Im trying to find a fix to the BBupdater without WIFI, as I think the clue lays there.

Unfortunately it doesn't work - when ziphone erases baseband i two weird messages saying something about File WRN [....] OK! (can't remember rest).

Where can i download original iplus, that does not try to unlock phone? I only found some customized version that tries to unlock, and obviously fails.

Blickbox: read again his post, his BSD is broken so he can't run Terminal commands.
It is just that iLiberty+ installs Installer when you Jailbreak with.
Nothing to do with the Wifi.

I need to get a WORKING Terminal app with ROOT access on my phone - without using WIFI. How can i achieve that?

I have tried installing terminal with iliberty and it doesn't work. I can't find iplus, cause the website is down, and has been for the last week...
