Backup settings/messages/notes/contacts on iPhone
Hi,
I'm a little confused with everything going on lately on the hacking front. Anyway, i've decided to try upgrading my 1.1.1 BL3.9 phone to 1.1.3 and trying geohot's IPSF unlock.
My question is, let's say I want to backup all my stuff on my phone before i attempt this. I have many things that i wish to keep. So I would probably go kill myself if i lost it.
Is there any program that could backup this for me? Or does iTunes back it up for me? Since I have to upgrade firmware to 1.1.2 and blablablalbla.. I suppose all my data on my phone will be deleted, therefore I need a way to get it back later
Any help/suggestion is appreciated.
flwrpi.

I'm using Vista so i found it here:
C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup
Anyway, thanks for your help.
So if I keep a copy of that backup folder, all my iphone shizzle (inc. contacts) is stored there right?

You can back up all of your information by going to private/var/root/Library. All your contacts, text messages, bookmarks, notes, etc. are all in folders. Just copy it from the phone to your desktop.

iTunes' backup will show the content of your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch databases with a quite familiar look & feel. Finally you have a backup for your contacts, text messages (sms), calendar entries, notes and caller-history.

Are the contacts on your iPhone different from the contacts on your iPhone. You could use your Windows PC with both iPhones and transfer both/any iPhones' contacts to your new iPad via these quidelines: How to transfer iPhone contacts to Computer.
