im using an ibook as my primary computer to sync my iphone with, i connected it and i check what i want to sync but then it says i can only sync with one computer, then it asks "erase and sync"

on my windows comp i just right click the iphone and press backup but idk how to back it up now being that i cant sync it

help!

force backup on a Mac is ctrl-click on the iPhone. problem is that the iPhone syncs to one PC or Mac - always. So your Mac is asking to be the "master" now.

but when it says erase and sync does that mean my info will go or the bond beetween my old comp will go

iTunes is a one-way ticket. always from iTunes (and supported apps like outlook;addressbook...) to the iPhone. The information on the iPhone gets replaced.
Do you want to switch temporary or in general to the other PC? If so, best get all data from the old PC to the new then sync.

edit: cntrl + click worked im backed up so i dont mind syncing

Just to make sure to keep all valuable data, download Disk Aid (free) here
DiskAid - Transfer Files betwen your Computer and your iPhone or iPod Touch. Disk Mode for your iPhone and iPod Touch.

Start disk aid on the new system, and download all data, musik, addresses etc to your Pc first.
Load those data onto the new computer then - after that syncing is safe.
