depends...how are you rotating it? is the battery low? do you have multiple web pages open in Safari? i have read/heard that the gravity sensors in the iPhone react best when turned 90/90degrees, straight up. if you have any sort of horizontal angle on the thing, it may not respond well.

Is it really that logical, I mean could be a bug or so?

well, that's what i know about the hardware. the bug(s) will most likely be addressed in their next iPhone software update (around Leopard GM time).

It is a bug, same thing here, it should get fixed in one of the future firmware updates. The screen rotation works fine but sometimes it doesn't, especially if you rotate the iPhone too slowly.

Can I close the automatic rotation by some settings?
Because sometimes I really don't want it to be rotation automatically...
    Thank you...

    One addition to this thread:
Do you know if there is a software method to trigger the rotation ? (and not by a sensor)

I'm asking this because the rotation does not work at all on my iPhone, so I would like to test without the sensor (I'm assuming that I have a sensor issue).

    Thanks for you tips !
