Searching around has revealed neither a trick, nor an app that will automate the process of using a calling card / access number when dialing long distance.

Did I miss it?

I'm surprised there isn't more interest in this.

(where final destination number is chosen from the contacts list)

Just updated to 1.1.2 and still wondering if this issue has been addressed by a hack, a kludge or a new application.

Isn't anyone concerned with making cheaper long distance calls?

I Think that people just enter the format you described above into the contacts as an additional phone number...

yeah... I suppose that's what most people do when there is no automated solution. Too bad if you have lots of long distance numbers and want to use a different calling card... :-/
