    Default Automagic clock adjustment

    Hi guys

I have a 1.1.1 unlocked here on the Vodafone network in Australia. I noticed recently the clock was about 6 minutes slow. I conducted an experiment - by putting the clock way out and connecting to the network and also syncing with iTunes. It's all set for automatic adjustment - but nothing happens.

Where does the clock get it's infomation? The network or the computer when syncing?

Mine's now set for manual adjustment - and is fine - but I'd like to know.

    What i've noticed,

I leave my laptop on GMT when abroad, with the iphone UK localised but i set the time zone manually. When I connect to Itunes the time on the phone changes to GMT while connected. Then when I disconnect the time corrects to the local time. This happens when there is a GSM signal and when NO SERVICE is detected.

So I think its a computer time sync for me anyway.

hmmm...no I just tried that and got nothing. It seems my iphone doesn't want to update the time automatically at all. Tried wireless, non-wireless and synced.

hmmm...on further thought I do have gprs/edge de-activated so maybe it goes through there.
