iWorld was a patch to a table that was internal to AppSupport, but the table is not outside AppSupport.
Also, iWorld fixed a problem causing MobilePhone and MobileSMS to crash, but did not provide correct CallerID number->name matching. Why, because it simply pached over the country code for grance, leaving the rules table intact.
For 2.x, the approach is much simpler, but require more steps: make changes to the table file.
Thanks . I have converted it and I will edit it with wordpad .
Do I convert it back to binary .plist using the same web page, and then replace the original phone number template?
My country is not listed in the templates. Can I add my country in the template list or do I have to edit and change another country's settings to my country .
Thanks,
Neoclis
You dont have to convert it to binary.
Some countries are recognized by itself just add the country but if its the case like mine then I dont know just edit the "us" one I guess.
Arghh i've been doing this for weeks and calls get recognized but SMSs won't. I'm in Chile btw. I really hope someone can help with this and/or make a program on Cydia that fixe this
Is it just me or something went wrong?
I'm living in HK and the default PhoneFormatTemplates.plist contains only one entry for "hk": The international dialing code 001.
In HK there's actually quite a few carriers that we can use for IDD call, for example 0060, 0080, 1638, 1507, etc. When my iPhone is still on 1.1.4, I'm using tim's library and it works like a charm. However when I upgraded my iPhone to 2.0.1 and try to use modify the native PhoneFormatTemplates and it is not working (partially)
The situation is. I've added two more entries below the default 001 one:
Saved, rebooted, dialing 001 country-code phone-num works, dialing 1638 country-code phone-num doesn't, nor 1507.Code:<key>hk</key> <array> <array> <string>852</string> <string>001</string> <string></string> <integer>0</integer> <integer>8</integer> </array> <array> <string>852</string> <string>1638</string> <string></string> <integer>0</integer> <integer>8</integer> </array> <array> <string>852</string> <string>1507</string> <string></string> <integer>0</integer> <integer>8</integer> </array> </array>
I've tried to move 1638's entry before 001, now the situation reversed (1638 works, 001 doesn't). So I wonder is there somewhere Apple has limited "hk" can only has one entry? Or it's just me wrote something wrong? :-(
Can't Get it to work in Ecuador! Any suggestions? SMS still shows as +59399xxxxxx
hey nevin,
