    Default [Applications] Low disk space error

    I keep gettng a odd error saying im running low on disk space but i have 3 gb left it also freezes and goes to the home menu while i try to do anything HELP!
    8GB iphone

    You must move the Applications folder to your media partition.
    This will avoid to have the system partition completely full.
    You must ssh your iPod Touch and follow the procedure below (works also for iPhone).

    [This also works for 1.1.3 and 1.1.4 users]

    cd /
    cp -pr Applications /var/root
    mv Applications Applications.old
    ln -s private/var/root/Applications /Applications
    Now check the symbolic link
    You should see the Applications linked to private/var/root/Applications

    cd /
    ls -la
    Restart your iPod Touch, if everything is fine, you can ssh again and delete the old Applications folder in the system partition.

    cd /
    rm -rf Applications.old

    You must use SSH to connect to your iPhone.

    Search the forum for SSH, you'll find a lot of information.

    the ssh on my phone will not stay on i try to use services to keep turn it on and keeps getting turned off when i exit services but is there a way to do it the hard way using ibrickr? It also comes up with a error when i try to uninstall it so........<-----lost...

    You must install OpenSSH in installer.app to get it to work.

    yea i already have it but it dosent connect to winscp or putty and eveytime i go into settings its off

    U do not need SSH, I did this in Terminal on iPhone itself.....and its working!

    yes you can also do it this way, by installing terminal VT100 from Installer.app
