Default [AppleMRVL868x] Failed to load firmware, try again.

I am trying to fix a iphone for a guy I know.

After a succelfull restore the phone slowly boots up to Activate Screen. Then it stalls.
If I put it in recovery mode and try to jailbreak / activate it :
appleMRVL868x: failed to load firmware trying again

The iPhone was bought in Dubai unlocked (presumably with Ziphone, becuase owner seem to remember the Z webclip)
It was working fine, but he wanted to upgrade to 1.1.4
    After upgrade, completly unusable.
Ive uploaded a image of scrolling text here

    Any ideas?

we are in the same boat man!. Still no solution for this kind of problem yet. You need to wait. The problem seem like this The "lockdown" some how corrupt and your bootloader and baseband messed up. The only solution that i found in this forum is replace the Comm Board (search for it), it about $150 in fixit.com . or else just wait for software solution from dev team.Good Luck

I dont know. But even if it would be, how to test?

    According to http://www.iphonelinux.org/index.php/IBooter

You must put your phone into recovery for this to work. Turn off your iPhone then hit power and quickly hold home until you see the iTunes plugin screen. Type fsboot to get out of recovery.
the command radio readnvram would check then if your phone's baseband nvram is corrupted using ibooter.

But as you said, you cant get the iPhone into recovery.

Plus, as I said, I am not sure if this would help.

What was your FW version when you restored to 1.1.4?
