I'm outside of my 14 day return period by 2 days. Apple Customer Service couldn't do anything since I bought from an Apple Retail Store. I spoke to the store directly, but phrased my question a little differently. Instead of asking if I qualified for the price protection, I asked them what the policy on RETURNS -JUST- past the 14 day grace period was...

The Apple guy told me that the price protection thing that was just announced is still very fresh to Apple Corporate and Retail stores, so to give them maybe 12 hours to mull over the details.. He didn't say anything was guaranteed, but he hinted that they might be increasing the 14 day grace period on the price protection... Very good news.

I suggest everyone call and complain that they're "just outside" of the 14 day period and hopefully by tomorrow morning we'll have a better grace period.

I hope everyone that is complaining about the price drop is actually CALLING Apple to voice their opinion! Apple has great customer service, but if we just stick to bitching on a forum, nothing will be done...
