Apple online store wants my iPhones back ?
I bought 5 iphones at apple.com and had them ship to my myus.com address. Order status said they shipped, everything ok.
Suddenly I have a notification, but only on the order status (no email notification) that there is a return pending! return initiated by apple! But the iPhones are already shipped. And also they already billed my credit card... So my guess is they noticed that that the myus.com is not an authorized address to ship to...
Can they request the phones back like this? I really dont think so... the iphones are paid and shipped... so theyre mine and they cant request them back, can they?

They couldn't suddenly cause the shipment to return to themselves while it's on their way. Are you sure it didn't say 'prepared for shipment' ?
Anyway, they never charge you until the phones have left the factory. They only start a pending authorization charge, making it look like they've charged to.. But it's just to reserve the money to them.
So.. My bet is that the phones never left the factory. If they did it seems pretty weird that they can return the shipment while it's on the way.

the iphones definitely left the factory, I can track them via the Fedex site... they are almost at the destination now.

actually the question is,what happens if I dont return the phones (incase they really get delivered by FedEX)? I think there's nothing they can really do. I legally purchased those products, so they are mine technically, arent they?

Hello,
same here in Germany with iPhones from Apple UK online store.
You can order them with a german credit card to a "fake" adress, which is your own adress in Germany.
UPS staff is clever enough to transport the phones to a UPS station near you in Germany, but then Apple advised UPS to return the phones to UK.
You have still paid them and you have a bill from Apple, but now you have to cancel your credit card payment to get your money back, because you'll never get the phone.

hmm, I still dont see why apple can do that as soon the phones left the building and are paid.

ok FedEX tracking tells me the phones are at the local fedex facility. we'll see what happens next

One question: why is your adress not authorized to ship to?
Good luck mate.

ztubbz, this sounds very strange. The only thing that I can think of is that Apple sent you something along with your shipment that you didn't order -- a new MBA for example -- and they're automatic packers/trackers said that X was shipped with your iPhones. The law in the US is very clear that if someone sends you something that you didn't order, it's yours to keep for free.
Send the Apple Store an email requesting why your shipment has been recalled. Re: your myus.com address. Apple would never have accepted your order in the first place if you mailing address wasn't acceptable.

I tried to order iphones a week or so before and my order was canceled, saying they will not ship to mail forwarding services...
So I tried it again, this time it has seemed to work, but obviously somebody noticed the "error". It seems strange to me too because I would expect this is an automated process...
Probably because of my foreign credit card. which is actually strange too, because I ordered one single iphone a day before, and two refurbished a few days after the bulk order, and thos items shipped and were delivered without any problems...
