    Default Apple "hires iPhone hacker"

    Hey guys,

Just came across this today on the Mac User magazine site:

"Apple is reported to have rewarded the developer of an iPhone hacking kit with a job developing the official SDK for its iPhone.

According to iPhone Atlas Apple has hired Lucas Newman, whose legitimate projects include Delicious Library. But he is also the author of Creating native iPhone apps, a guide to "jaibreaking" the iPhone.

Apple plans to release the official iPhone developers' kit in February, an apparent change of heart that may have been encouraged by the work of Newman and other developers.

Newman is said to be joining that project as an iPhone engineer.

    Simon Aughton"

Will have to wait with bated breath to see what happens but with any luck as of February the iphone may have an official unlock, which will be nice!

Well I don't know whether this is good or bad news. If you can't kill the enemy then you joint them.

I hope apple releases the new firmware with secpack cos a lot of people is going to be dissapointed for this christmas as they waiting to be able to use their iphone.

Come on Apple we are doing a good job marketing the iPhone in Spain, bring it to Telefonica and you'll see how many people will join them just for no having trouble on the hacking world.

    Regards

In respect to the SDK this should be good as someone who knows what devlopers needs are will be working on it to tailor it their needs. Hopefully it will be a little less "sandboxy" and more native as early reports have suggested.
