So can someone from the dev team respond? Looks like all new phones are now 1.1.2 with new bootloader, which means they can NOT be unlocked with any previous methods.

Is it now Apple 3 - dev team 2, Final score?

Look, I'm not from the dev team, but how long have 1.1.2 iPhones been out now? Two days?

As long as someone with the technical skills cares about iPhone freedom, there will be unlocks.

It's like DRM: when you have total control over a device, it's impossible to prevent you from doing ANYTHING to it.

Yes but this time its not just a new firmware version, apple changed the bootloader. They also seem to have suddenly become lenient on selling iphones, as if they know it doesnt matter anymore.

You don't know what you are talking about. How has Apple suddenly become lenient on selling iPhones? Remember, Apple thought their first bootloader was foolproof also. Hackers are/ have always been more technically skilled and committed than Apple engineers. Reverse engineering takes time. Maybe they didn't teach you that yet since you are still in middle school?
