I want to use this method... does it matter that i have already activated my iPhone and then restored it to factory settings?

if your iPhone is firmware 1.02, it does not matter, you can go on from step Jailbreak)

I do suggest you to use iNdependence 1.2.1a like described in this tutorial, cause it also fixes the YouTube issue at activation
so my advise : de-activate in iNdependence and start wit hactivate (reboot iPhone between the 2 steps)

Don't worry dude. As long as you make sure that your phone is properly charged and Your Wifi connection is fine, everything will be okay. Just make sure that you follow EACH and every step from whatever tutorial you will use.
If anything goes wrong (highly unlikely if you follow closely the steps) you can always ask here on the forums or in IRC.

At what time do I have to remove the AT&T sim, and when do I insert the one I want to use?
Thx Tear
