One thing it doesn't make clear:

In the "unlocking process in a nutshell" it states that jailbreak should be carried out before activation. However, nowhere during the walk-through does it state you should jailbreak the phone.

It does however state

I'm assuming you've already created your phonedmg folder. If you haven't then read this tutorial now. Stop when you've completed Step 4.

.. But jailbreak is step 5.

So what i'm asking is: Do you jailbreak the phone before activating it?
