I would like to see it included, and I don't think att/apple want 3rd party apps at all. I don't see where the leap is to anysim. It is quality software, and should be included as such. This makes me want to see a wifi based pxl.

NullRiver, thanks for the installer app. It's nice that you police the apps for us but at times I want to have freedom of choice whether you approve or not. I am aware I can install the apps manually or use another tool, but come on... enough with the MS tactics.

Wouldn't it be funny if someone just hack the install app, now where's the config file located so that I may add my own repo links?

Another bunch of error is simply caused by not reading but just blind doing something and than moan afterwards. The application itself is easy as it could be just a bit of "sense" is required.
Also DON'T use it just for fun on your already unlocked phone, thats the same way bad or be unhapyp if you done strange things to your bb before.
Basicly all things you can usaly expect of a user. All tests we made were successful and it have been plenty. For any phone with a retial fw of a update package + anysim it worked so far in our test.
More we can seriously not do but just hope enough user are happy they now can unlock their phone the most easy, free way.
    sam thanks for this respond,
    really very appreciate it!

i just begun to doubt on anysim,
but now i see the problems are not in anysim,
but all the guys here around are balming the software for own foults...

For some reason I've always thought this was going to happen, and now that you mention it (also judging by Nullriver's strict pro-Apple policy) I feel it's more than a possibility. The iPhone out of the box is a pretty useless toy which doesn't allow you to do anything. Not only it's pretty boring to play around with (no possibility whatsoever to customize any part of it), it also lacks a lot of important applications, and personally one of the reasons I keep it constantly in my pocket (and I'm forgiving a lot of things that if it was a Nokia or any other phone I would have sold immediately) is to check which new applications are being made available through Installer. Having the possibility to get *FREE* new software on a daily basis, no hassle installation, and if you don't like what you've got, erase it in one click, is the best asset of the iPhone. I'm sure Apple is well aware of this, and today Nullriver is the only gateway to get all this. While I understand their position and appreciate their concerns, I don't like the idea that a lot of potentially useful applications will never see the light of the day because could clash with Apple's feelings. I believe sooner or later a new independent gateway will be made. Some sort of e-mule, where if you know where to search, you'll find anything. Time will tell...

I was thinking about this some more, and if nullriver doesn't want to include the unlock, I guess thats fair, considering it isn't an "application" but more of a "tool", the distinction being an application is used many times while a tool is run once. But what I feel they should do is allow other Sources to be added on the Sources page. Then the dev team can set up their own repo with the unlock tool, and whatever else they release.

"Community Sources" are already in but even these are controller. The name "community source" emplies community supplied software and if someone running such a repo is getting shut down and taken out of decission what to host, by someone cause of uber control feelings, it's no longer a open community source, but a company controlled way of suppliment, abusing the name of openess and community.
