anySIM error
When unlocking another iPhone today, I received this error message after anySIM was done Dumping the NOR.
"Unlock Failure
Couldn't locate bytes to patch"
The phone is definitely not unlocked because it wont accept any SIM cards and make calls with them.
I've activated the phone and replaced the lockdownd file. I had no problem unlocking a different iPhone... not sure why this one is giving me hell. Any ideas?
I already restored the phone btw and tried it again.

guys you need to flash & update your bb. The anySIM unlock is super bugy and I never got it to work after 3nights and 4days trying to use it.
I am on a Mac and this is the way to do it http://modmyiphone.com/wiki/index.ph...ck_OS_X_Part_1
Restore your phone through iTunes, then Flash & Update your bb. (do a search to learn how) Then follow the tutorial above and your iPhone will be Unlocked. After I flashed & updated my bb and restored via itunes I was able to unlock my phone in under 40 minutes using the above method It works!!!

I tried to restore from itunes but it tells me that there is no sim on the phone, I tried it with my Telcel sim and with the AT&T sim, I tried to reboot the phone also by pushing the two buttons and I can not get the yellow triangle, I am desperate.

***ATTENTION**** The unlock found here http://modmyiphone.com/wiki/index.ph...ck_OS_X_Part_1 has been said to work without having VIRGIN iPHONE!!! This meens if you have already tried the anySIM.app and its not working here is what to do:
(using OS X)
Just want to say i have been to hell and back with this anySIM.app.....i did it and got the UNLOCK FAILURE-The Flash operation succeded but the unlock commands failed.....the second and following times i get-UNLOCK FAILURE-Couldn't locate bytes to patch....I understand the problem is that i cant return the phone to 'VIRGIN RESTORE' cause this anySIM.app is ony a complete unlock for the those phones that havent been tampered with...to move on I have had success even without a 'VIRGIN RESTORE'
THIS SUCCESS HAS BEEN FROM FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTIONS AT:
http://modmyiphone.com/wiki/index.ph...ck_OS_X_Part_1
-Restore phone with iTunes (after anySIM failure)
-Activate with iNdependence 1.2.1a
-Get most current version of App Tapp Installer.app(should be automated and then ull have installer on ur home screen)
-then continue with the picture by picture/step by step guide and ull have an unlocked phone in about 20min
after it was completed I turned off the phone and before turning it on i put in a SunCom Sim, in no time without any setup it says SunCom..in top corner!!!
