AnySim can not unlock this phone ........ why??

I have a version 1.1.1 iphone that I upgraded from 1.02 (never unlocked), activated with ATT. I tried to unlock it with anySim 1.1 but it said "it can not unlock this phone". Why would that be? I used jailbreakme.com to unjail it.

Any suggestions?

did u try another sim? it said that on my phone but i put in a tmobile sim and it worked

Make sure you have the BSD subsystem installed. And a SIM card in the phone before running it.

It happened to me when I tried to restore already unlocked 1.1.1. Then I realized that it can't unlock my phone cause the baseband is already unlocked.
Your case is probably different.
Make sure that att sim is NOT in the phone when you are unlocking .

i've got the same issue as you, tried different solutions but no luck....

still nothing. Is there really a maximum of five tries with anysim?? Or is this just bs?

Unreal it still does not work. Here is what I have done about 10 times:
1. Restore with iTunes to 1.1.1
2. Activated through iTunes with ATT Sim in it.
3. went to Jailbreakme.com and install it.
4. Add the source for Anysim.
5. Installed BSD Subsystem
6. Installed AnySim
7. Put my Swisscom Sim into the phone
8. Run AnySim
9. Runs to the end and tells me that this phone can not be unlocked. Restart the phone.
10. WHAT NOW????? Thanks for any help.

well i left it unlocked at 1.0.2, to get it reunlocked i had to

restore to 1.0.2 via i tunes
flash the baseband
jailbreak,

i dare not upgrade to 111 for fear of rebricking it
