Hey, I'm tired of waiting for the software unlock so is there anyone in the Montreal area that can perform a hardware unlock for me (with payment of course). Please let me know, I'm too chicken to try it out myself

I suggest you make sure that whoever helps you had done it before. It is tricky and even a very well-intentioned novice makes the risk quite high. There are people in Montreal who have done it.

My guess is that you can find low cost help in town if you ask here, assuming you are willing to so some work yourself and take some responsibility for what you do.
