Angry Anyone Else Tired With Bulls*** Threads and Time Wasters

Its getting to the point where its getting harder and harder to sift through the endless amounts of threads either asking questions that have already been answered ten thousand times, crappy "jokes" or dumbass points of view (hmmmm what am I doing then???? ). All I want to say/point out is that maybe posting new threads should be limited to those who have posted some times before. We need to force people to use the damn search box!!! a pretty pathetic thing to have to do but the posting situation is proving it necessary.

ALSO PLEASE FEEL FREE TO POST LINKS TO OTHER JACKASS THREADS THAT PISS YOU OFF. SPREAD THE LOVE

Although this thread is not a waste of time at all, it is so incredibly useful, YAY!

Yeah... I waste a lot more time reading some bs all over again because of some je.ks who don't care to use a search button or read a previous thread with the same topic prior to posting.

I guess putting a new flashing red "USE THE SEARCH BUTTON - THEN POST" in the forum header won't help...

Agreed!! People don't even want to read and keep asking the same and same question over and over again.

I'm not joking when I say this, we need a section at the forum beginning called the DUMBASS category. Right with General and Unlocking, all that. In that thread ONLY is it allowed to ask random cquestions that may have been answered already. The other regular threads then do not get bloated with crap. If someone gets caught asking dumb question in the regular threads, they then get limited access to the site. They can view any topic, but only can post in the DUMBASS category for a week. Would make life for us AND them so much better. I'm the first person to try and belittle someone who asks a retarded question. Hell, if we had a DUMBASS thread I'd go in and answer questions from time to time to help. I'm just tired of sifting thru them all in a category that's goal is to evolve on what we know and help people with unique problems.

Does the bulletin board system that runs Hackintosh have the ability to prevent creating new threads until a certain post count is reached?

Most of the dumbass threads you're referring to are people brand new to the site, who have a legitimate question, but are too lazy to read the thread titles of more than 1 page.

Implementing this feature would cut that out.

Yes, that would be a great idea. No more time wasting please. We really need a new forum for questions/stupid_threads/crap from newbies.

Agreed. Actually i believe the forum needs stronger moderation, plus a number of stickies for some BASIC stuff (for instance a stickied unlocking tutorial would be nice). Also an FAQ thread would save TONS of time.
