I am in Brisbane but Turbosimming tomorrow. Seems less likley to brick the phone

Yeah, TurboSIMing isn't an option for me as it'll be weeks until you can get one at a half decent price.

where did you guys get your phones? i'm very close to ordering one off the US ebay.com if i can't find any mates/colleagues going over there for work...

I got mine from an Ebay ad, but bought through a web site. International Orders, I think was the name. They supplied a invoice from Apple which was nice. They also handle all warranty problems here in Australia.
