The latest version of iActivator can break jail on PPC Macs. iPhoneInterface is universal. And the SSH binaries themselves run on the phone, so, once you have jailbreak and iphoneinterface working, you should be able to do it.

AFAIK, there's no program which can perform a jailbreak on PPC Macs right now. You'll just have to wait (or find a friend who's got an Intel Mac).
Therefore a point to this post seems prevalent

Also, iActivator fails at performing a proper jailbreak
it says can't write to fstab

Can anyone provide a link to or create a working PPC jailbreak and iPhone Interface?
    That would be fantastic.

What he is trying to say, is that it supports PPC. All you have to do is after doing the steps in the proper order... First break out of Jail by holding the 2 buttons on your iphone together, let go once the yellow sign pops up, let it do its thing, worked first try for me. After that do your thing. If it does not work the first time, restart both the phone and the software. and try again. If you havent read the instructions then, make sure you have a copy of the firmwar available.. thats it bub. Go do it. iactivate works really well

    I did that already
I have tried both iActivator and the PPC jailbreak
    Neither of them work
iActivator gives me an error message when trying to break jail something about fstab
And when I try to use jailbreak 1.1 I get: segmentation fault

Can someone tell me why it's failing
If it is do to the fact that I am running on a PowerPC Mac can somebody make it work for PowerPC Macs

    Thanx

iActivator was updated last night. The version is still 1.1, but it can break jail...I've done it on my PPC Mac. Make sure you have the latest by checking the changelog that comes with the package. There's a note in there describing the working status of breaking jail on PPC Macs.
