I read the thread that says a cellphone store in NY unlocks for $45.00, I was wondering if anyone knew of a place that could do this in TORONTO, it sure would beat paying half the price I did for an iPhone to get it unlocked

As far as the information available on this and many other sites, there is no sim unlock method. Only the silvercard and TurboSim methods. There have been many bogus ads and stuff, but nothing credible to my knowledge.

5 posts, 3 of them are threads that pertains unlocking, where can I get a Turbosim etc. Why not just lurk around. There is a wealth of information surrounding the status of the Unlock, the bogus shite out there and what is being done. Educate then ask questions.
