    Question Another Lost Picture question

On my PC, I have located my backed up Folder with long numbers. Just borrowed my friends MacBook Pro...first time using a Mac. I have installed mdhelper on the desktop along with the folder with all the backed up files. When I run mdhelper in terminal it gives me an error message "segmentation fault"
Any suggestions ? Did I mention it was my first time using a Mac !!

Installing Cydia programs on a phone that has no internet connection: read this.

Editing binary .plist, .strings, .nib and .xib files:
    * on your computer: Windows tool / conversion website.
    * on your iPhone: convert those files in a terminal with plutil (installed with Erica Utilities) or edit them with iFile (Cydia links).

    i dont understand your question.
are you saying u can't view your pictures?
what is it thats lost and where?
    pictures in camera roll?
    pictures you sync?
i would simply SSH and manually download the pictures from folder DCIM

One more: On a Mac the folder with the long name has to be in the folder
    ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
    to make mdhelper work

Thanks volkspost,,,,going to borrow my friends power book again and try to figure out how to open the directory where itunes creates this folder. It is a little frustrating trying to navigate in something that is totaly different from a pc....but I must confess,,,I do like the "feel" and smoothness of a mac !

    Hi zener,
once you get your buddies Mac just open the users directory (often his name) and in there goto
    /Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
Just drop (copy) the complete folder in there. mdhelper only looks into this directory when started, wont work if nothing is in there.

One more: If your friend does have an iPhone aswell, you will find another (at least one) folder in there. If so, just create a folder on the Mac's desktop, move the folder(s) of your friends iPhone in there, then copy your backup into the location. Run mdhelper then. After running you will find a new created folder on the desktop with your extracted data.
Then delete your backup folder and put his data back. Explanation: If you dont, mdhelper will extract his and your iphone data ;-)
