[all versions] Phone unlocked but not working
I have been trying for 10 days now to get my 112 OTB working since performing a HW unlock (BL 4.6 -> 3.9, confirmed)
The unlock itself seems fine. I see my carrier logo and some signal strength. I can usually not call out (I get a call ended error before the number even starts to ring) although it can work sometimes (in same location), and when you call the iPhone it is 'out of reach' even though it is sitting there in front of me, connected to my carrier network!
I have revirginized over and over and tried running unlocked 1.1.1, 1.1.2 and 1.1.3, with various basebands too. Although the unlock works with all these different combinations, the symptoms are the same.
It just doesn't work as a phone. Any ideas? (The signal strength fluctuates a bit and is lower than expected but that's probably another issue)

Is your phone have Caller ID turn on? Don't quote me, but I think I read it somewhere is that if you turn your Caller ID on this will resolved the issue.
P.S.: I could be wrong, Just try to help
1.1.1 OTB -> 1.1.2 = 100%

Try it with a different sim card if possible from a different provider and see what you get. If you get the name of your operator and signal it is probably unlocked just fine.

If this doesn't works, you could try with a different lockdown file. Maybe that will do the job (I had a similar issue, but not HW related though)

Ah, just thought of this too. If your operator uses the "old" type of towers (like ATT in the US) you cannot receive calls while edge/gprs is active. Make sure the phone is not trying to update something like mail/weather automatically so it doesn't use gprs at the moment.

I have a full strength wifi signal, so the iPhone would use that instead of Edge anyway, right?

What's that?

I don't think it's lockdown file since you would get a message popping up if that was it.
Yes, if you have wifi it is not using edge at that moment.
Your best bet is to throw in a different sim and see what happens, try that out first before you start messing with your phone.
