When trying to connect the iPhone to iTunes running on a 64-bit version of Windows, a message will pop-up, along the lines of:
"The iPhone cannot be used because the required software is not installed. Run the iTunes installer to remove iTunes, then install the 64-bit version of iTunes."This is different from the previous message which plainly stated that the iPhone is not compatible with a 64-bit version of Windows.
If anyone here who can gain apple inside information, maybe they'd be kind enough to find out if this is the case?
For those (like me) who have to use a different OS or machine just to run iTunes will be glad to here of this information.
