    has no one tried transferring any music stored on computer to the iphone and checked if it played? specially for tracks not purchased from itunes?

    I agree with skanero, why haven't you just tried it? It's simple enough.

    Anyway, the answer is that any songs in your iTunes library, whether purchased through the iTunes Music Store, or imported into iTunes from somewhere else on your PC, can sync to the phone. You will always have to go through iTunes as that is the way to sync songs on to the iPhone.

    i asked cos i dont have an iphone yet.. i heard it was not possible.. but now i have my answer. ty.
