Is there a preference file somewhere to edit the whitebalance temperature of the display? Like when you calibrate your display in System Preferences you choose the temperature (cool, warmer etc)

I'd like to know the answer to this as well, but suspect it will be a long time coming following JB and careful scrutiny of all the files. Not much air time here, but I really *don't* like the new "warmer" screen (for which I read "we got a job lot of cheap screens, they're crap, so we've decided to call it a feature").

I'm on my 4th iPhone 3G now (thanks Apple QC), and they have all had the yellowy looking screen.

I did find an ICC profile at /System/Library/Lockdown/iPhone.icc

I tried replacing it with other profiles, then respringing and rebooting it, however, I did not notice a color change. I think that you may have to restore the iPhone with a custom ICC profile in order for the changes to take effect. Does anyone want to test this?

I'd like to test it using a custom firmware, but I can't figure out how to inject my own iphone.icc into pwnage's ipsw.

Any suggestions?
