I imported 58mb worth of PNG's into my iPhoto library, which I then put in a album to be synced to the iPhone. Syncing ONLY my photos, my memory went from 270mb to 200mb, which takes up more space than the actual high res images which are scaled down to the iPhone's native resolution for viewing after syncing.

Does anyone have a remedy for this? I suspect this is eating alot of useful space.
