Unhappy [advice needed} iPhone looses signal while sleeping and freezes sometimes

    Hi,

I seem to have a very uncommon problem with my iPhone - sometimes when the device reaches low battery state the signal is lost during sleep. When I turn it on (back from sleep mode) I can see there is a momentary freeze in the "Slide to Unlock" screen and that there is no signal. All incoming calls received at this state are routed to voice mail. After sliding to unlock the device continues to show very low / No Service for a few moments and then immediately jumps back to 5 bars (which is usually the reception in my area).

I noticed this problem only reproduces when the iPhone has 20% or lower battery power. This does not happen all the time but often enough to be really annoying.

My phone was originally BL 4.6 firmware 1.1.3 OTB. I unlocked / JB / activated with ZiPhone version 2.X (I don't remember the exact version at the time). Then when 1.1.4 came out, I restored with iTunes and used ZiPhone again only this time downgrading my BL to 3.9 since I used "Do it All". I've reset the device quite a few times and have recently tried restoring to a clean 1.1.4 and unlocking with iPlus instead of ZiPhone.
I also reverted my BL back to 4.6 neutered using Dev Team's BootNeuter hoping that it might somehow be related to my problem but of course it was not.

My baseband is 04.04.05_G (unlocked). WiFi works fine never had any issues (greyed out, etc...)
Reset all settings etc does not work.
Perhaps when the iPhone reaches 20% battery power it has a different power management profile that causes this issue.

Any help with solving this issue will be greatly appreciated.

    Regards,

    Danny

Unfortunately no one knows how to fix this and only a small userbase is affected by the problem.

I have a friend who's got this problem. Add one to the list. He used ZiPhone.

I found this. Try and tell if it's work.

    "I modified the file

    /System/Library/SystemConfiguration/PowerManagement.bundle/com.apple.SystemPowerProfileDefaults.plist

and changed the fields 'Reduce Processor Speed' and 'Dynamic Power Step' to 0 from 1.

    Then I rebooted the iphone.

Since then, the iphone has been working flawlessly without any instances of loss of signal. Also my 'Usage, from Settings->Usage' is the same as before, indicating no additional drain on battery.

Here is the diff of the changes:

    No go.
Just happened again, with the updated settings and after a reboot.

As far as I can remember this problem started when I virginized my phone with ZiPhone (Refurbish button)....
Perhaps that explains it? Has anyone experiencing this problem also used ZiPhone to virginize?

Hey, I been trying all these things.. But only changing the com.apple.SystemPowerProfileDefaults.plist file works for me..

I am testing a new posibility to fix this issue, REMOVING "com.apple.CommCenter" and restarting the phone.

If you have WinSCP or Putty, SSH into the iPhone and input this line:

    "launchctl remove com.apple.CommCenter"

    Without quotes..

Almost immediately, the phone lose all signal, and must say "SEARCHING...", maybe WIFI will turn off too..

Restart the phone pressing the HOME BUTTON and the SLEEP BUTTON together untill the Apple logo appears.. Release the buttons...

Apparently. this is working for me... No signal loss below 60% Battery.. And now i've full signal bar and less than 20% battery..

Sorry about my bad english, i'm from Argentina.. =S
