    Default [Advice] iPhone theft

I used my 1.2 iphone barely for a month before some asshole stole it in New Delhi, India. I was using stealthsim to unlock it. Is there any way to trace the iphone using the IMEI number? The Indian police is not of much help.

Oh Damn. I am sorry to hear that. Thats the thing with gadgets, they attract people to buy them, and they also attract people to steal them.

I want to make a suggestion to all new phone developers out there: Is it possible to make phones that only work with the owners fingerprints? I know there are some laptops like that. That way, stealing phones would be pointless.

would be virtually impossible, and probably wouldnt work, plus sdk wouldnt work because you cant get apps to run in the background.

    Unhappy

Thanks for all the replies. It was a special gift from my wife for our marriage anniversary. I have lost all hope of retrieving it now, but wondering how will the person who will buy it is going to charge it?

Is there an application that can email the geo-coordinates of the iphone?

but if the theft change it you can't do much , go the the carrier and asking about
