[Advice] iPhone keeps locking up
Has anyone else experienced this?
My iphone is running 1.1.4 and everyday at least 4 times it just freezes, the screen either does not come on when you push the home or the sleep button or it just freezes during useage. i have to do a soft reboot to get it going again, sometimes having to leave it 5 - 20 mins otherwise it stays on the apple logo with the little spinning wheel, i also get the spinning wheel on the screen when it freezes.
I have tried doing a restore 4 times now trying both ziphone and pwnage and still it happens. can't be a hardware fault as it would be permanent its got to be software related in my opinion.
Any advice or help???

Have you tried a DFU restore? Regular restores don't rewrite the user partition (Or the root partition, I can't remember which) which is where the problem could lay.

is a dfu restore where you open up iTunes plug in your phone whilst holding down the home button and iTunes recognises it needs a restore??

no,
thats recovery mode, to put it on DFU mode:
Open iTunes
turn off your iPhone.
plug the iPhone to the cable.
as soon as you see the apple logo hold both Home & power button, count 10 seconds and then release the power button but keep pressing home button until iTunes recognize the phone and ask you to restore.
When you are pressing both buttons around 7 seconds after the screen will go black pay no attention to that remember you have to keep them pressed for 10 seconds and then release power button.
If after the restore you still have problems try reflashing your baseband with iliberty and then restore again.
