a friend tried to order 10 iPhones online (five 8gb and five 16gb) from the apple store.
he did so via phone hotline. paying was done thru me, wired from switzerland.
he got a confirmation that the shipping will be between 1st and 5st of may, but got a call from customer service today, that the order was canceled.


well i asked like two weeks before here, wheter you can buy like 10 phones online at a time, and some replied to me, that they can even buy 25 phones on daily base.

so question is, HOW can he order them online? need he to order 5 phones seperate on different adresses, money wired from america banc account?

Try paying using Credit/Debit Card, wire transfer although safe and convinient are not well looked on by some people. I prefer the wire, but I've been told not to. So I use my Debit Card instead.

It may also be the amount, you never know, maybe there is a limit on the amount per order. Just try ordering 2 iPhone at a time, maybe that'll help

I may well be wrong, but these are just my thoughts.

so, as soon as he got the cheque ("this may take up to 30 days"), he'll order them online via creditcard to another adress (maybe he's name is now blacklisted on apple, anyway)

I doubt Apple will let you buy 10 phones in one go, let alone 25... Try three at a time, and yeah, forget about wiring money around... Do you have a US debit or credit card and a US shipping address? If you do try again!

Yup, I knew Apple doesn't let go 10 iPhones at once. Well try again like me. said, 3 at a time with a Credit/Debit card and US address.

Can you order them to europe, only stating an US adress on the card?

you must have a credit/debit card / bank account form a country that there is a iTunes store from (some other countrues that have international banks will have support form their local bank - and thus be allowed to make purchases from merchants that have very strict online purchasing policies as far as country of origin - ie Apple). everything in your purchase will go through online in orders of 5 at a time.. with a couple or few cards you can quickly get quite a few phones before you get served by Apple
