to bad there isnt a app to boost edge, it will never beat wifi, free wifi is the best handsdown, and no one say 3g/4g because its not on the phone yet and its mostly in asia or europe

What is your average speed in kbps from iphonenetworktest.com, if you do say - five tests?
My speed with gophone prepaid data plan was so slow, probably average 110kbps with the 19.99 plan.
ATT said that was because of the prepaid network not working properly on the iPhone
and that it was designed to work on the contract network. My speed was so erratic too, anywhere from -15kbps to 165 on occasian.
Anyone else have problems like this or know if this does actually have something to do with the prepaid network?

Are you sure there isnt a fix or something for Edge? Seems before I restored my phone last week I had put a source and installed something that made my Edge speed go 10 times faster than it was... I wish I could find the post I read it on but isnt there a setting fix or something? I noticed a huge increase of speed....or did I...hmm something like a APN Sticky? if that was what it was but the description doesnt seem right

Actually The Tmobile T-zones hack is on GPRS not edge you could get that same speed as Tmobile Edge 19.99$ but most likely it will be slower depending on that area, and that lantancy will allways be more, thats why i swich from Tzone to Tmobile Total internet its worth it if u your internet alot

Gosh, it would be awesome if you could find that link, does anyone know if there is some kind of tweak at least fine tune or adjust the edge settings?
It was so slow for me, almost unbearable, and I'm in a major metro area too - Minneapolis - so edge coverage/signal should be plentiful.
Anyone else have experience with the pre-paid edge and it's speed or problems?

That is 100% incorrect. T-Mobile uses EDGE whenever the mobile supports it, they do not pick and choose when to assign GPRS/EDGE. The only time you will get GPRS when you mobile supports EDGE is when they have EDGE disabled on that site (for troubleshooting issues)
