ive been using my iphone for a month now.
i wanted it to be customized and i placed five items on the dock, etc..
there was this function where you could place items that you dont normally use as hidden items. i accidentally placed the item "customize" to the hidden items. thats why i could no longer access these hidden items.. how could i retrieve these hidden items? hoping for someone's immediate response

get another app launcher.
u can find them in installer

Dock.app and AppFlow are two that are on the top of my head

install appflow andrun it. then select custmize ............u know the rest

XLaunch is the best launcher in my opinion. Works in portrait mode and is in ABC order so you can skip to an app the same way you would skip to a song in the iPod. Then when turned sideways turns to landscape mode just like AppFlow. Very neat! Check it out.

all three mentioned above are free and u can download them through the installer which is on your iphone (right?) over wifi or edge . . . .

if u dont have installer reply here

u might need to add other sources to find the mentioned apps
google for sources

do you have installer?

install bossprefs

add customize to its dock inside bossprefs

open bossprefs, run customize

i dont think i have an installer..
i dont know if its also hidden or dont really have it at all.

what version firmware are u using and if u dont have installer how did u get customize on ur phone?

my software version is 1.0.2

i think my installer is also hidden along with customize and settings..

someone adviced me to just restore my iphone.

will this fix my problem?

There is a .plist file in the customize folder (browing through winscp or iphone browser) that you should be able to modify to allow customize to be visible again.

Given a) you have open SSH installed and ON
b) you have BSD susbsytem installed
c) you have your wifi on

Best of luck. I made the mistake of hiding installer and customize. fortunately I had BSD installed, open SSH installed AND on and my wifi was on.
