So as the title says,would it be wise to buy an iPhone now before the 3G's are release almost a month from now?... most iPhones are being sold at around 300$ on Ebay...but will the price drop from one day to the other when 3G arrives?
Any other pros and cons ?

I guess the prices will raise because no one knows yet if it will be easily unlockable and how hard it will be to buy it without a plan.

Also, you can check the officially announced prices for iPhone 3G in European countries when buying without a plan, they are damn expensive.

I have to agree with bending unit number 1's post. i just bought a generation 1 iphone for only 250 in mint condition on ebay but honestly i think i got lucky. depending on how hard this new one would be to unlock purchase without a contract the prices might actually go up faster than a green snake in a sugar-cane field. Another thing if you live in the "US and A" you might as well get a generation 1 since if you unlock it it's most likely to be used with t-mobile which won't support the 3g feature so why through all the trouble for a slightly thinner rear-edging and a slighty thicker center and a color change?
