[Advice] All of sudden wont turn on
I love my iphone but as of yesterday it wont turn on. It is totally blacked out and no response. I think i might have installer app or something with a couple games from months ago but thats it. I have ATT but its not activated through them so i think i just bypassed it but didnt fully unlock.
It wont boot up or show charging or be recognized by itunes. I want to go the apple store tomm but need to see if i just get it working first. Please help.
Also how easy is it just to get another one from the apple store? I have the box and everything...and they wont be able to boot it so??
Thanks love the site

What is your phone version (week/firmware/bootloader) ?
Your title is not clear, check my signature about the title again.

Man i really dont know all that. I havent changed the iphone much since i got it.
I am pretty sure its 1.02 version...i didnt update it when they came out with the update post unlocking...
As for week and bootloader i could tell you what that is man. I am not up to date on all that lingo. I read this site some but havent had enough problems to learn the troubleshooting.

the week version can be found on the back of your phone in the serial number (just post the first 5th number from the left).
-
-
the fifth number from the left is 4
2 (4) 0 .....week 4? I know its not 40 cause i have had it a while. i dunno
-
looks like it is week 40.
Now when you plug it on the power charger, does it show anything up ?
-
-
nothing. yesterday it showed a red battery and "charging please wait" then after an hour it wont even respond.
It was on the charger all night now wont do anything...or even respond to itunes
-
If it does, you must manually put it in DFU mode (search the forum on how to do it).
Once it is in DFU mode, plug it to your computer and use iBrickr (windows) or Independance (Mac OS X) to exit the DFU mode.
It should be back to normal

-
That's odd, seems your battery is completely empty.
-
i dont know. It charged forever and still nothing.
Should i still try the dfu mode? It wont do anything though
