Should I or just wait for 2.0?

id prob wait for 2.0
2.0 is out in 7 days and i think the dev team will come out with an unlock really soon like 2 weeks mayb even one so i guess id say WAIT but i like 1.1.4

the thing here is that we all know installer and old applications will not work on 2.0 so the real question is if you are willing to sacrifice all that to have the 2.0 in 2 weeks or if you'll wait more time until the community finds a way to have a version of installer working on 2.0.

I hav already upgraded from 1.1.2 [OTB] to 1.1.4 and it sucks.
I cant save countries in weather, cant add in stocks, fring isnt working.
I hav no idea where d prob is as d unlocking and upgrad was al v smooth..

User model changed from 1.1.2 to 1.1.3, there are some differences. You probably upgraded then connected and have been choosing the iTunes option "to use backup data" to setup the iphone. this way you get some prefs on the iPhone that wont work.
DFU restore to 1.1.4 again (manually or with iLiberty - use the search on how to), then unlock again using Pwnage or iLiberty. When connecting then to iTunes select the option "setup as a new iphone". Sync after that a get your favourite apps on the iPhone, will work. One of my test iPhones is OOTB, same procedure, everything working

thanks for the reply. the only thing im really worried about is my contacts. anyway to back that up? i hate to lose all those contacts.

you can sync your contacts to windows address book (if you use windows) / or outlook.
I've done it many times.
