i am trying to upgrade from 1.0.2 to higher version, but i was told i need to virginize the phone first. I've never virginazed one, how or what is the best way to do it? is there any specific tutorial for it?
I am new at this , please include details.

I did , and i got lot of threads where people talk about virginizing but nobody tells you how to do it. i am new at this and i never done it. also i updated my installer and now when i try using it it just starts and then goes back to my home page. i can't use installer.

Yeah I had that problem before I upgraded (I too was on 1.0.2), It seems the installer update crashes phone prior to 1.1.1

What did you use to unlock your iphone on 1.0.2

I didn't have to virginize, all I did was restore to 1.1.4 and iPlus 2.0 for the rest... All depends on what you used.

u dont need to, use Ziphone to erase the BB, DFU to 1.1.4 Jailbreak , activate with ziphone and unlock with iphone dev bootneuter.

i disagree on the ziphone usage to JB + ACt. I would feel more comfortable with using iLiberty+.

Unlock: yes. Use either iPlus/iliberty+ or dev team bootneuter.

the virginize part is ???. There are people who said you don't have to do that. There are people having problem if you did not virginize.

So far, I don't know what's going on. Best is to virginize because it does not hurt to do it. I've done many many 1.0.2 virgnize and upgrade to 1.1.4 w/o any problems.

Just take your time and read. I did it and this came up: virginizing 1.0.2.
