Advantages of 3.9FB over 4.6

hey guys i would like to know the advantages of 3.9FB over 4.6 so i would know if to unlock with iplus or jus use ziphone n keep my 4.6 (using advance option NOT "Do it All")

I LOL'ed at that. Performance wise, You won't be able to notice a difference at all. And your bootloader isn't going to affect applications not working or being compatible, because they don't check for that, and it doesn't make a difference.

4.6 is the newer one, and 3.9 is the original. Did they improve the bootloader? Who knows...i dont know lol

You can run the latest baseband with BL4.6.

You can run it but you can't unlock it. If you want a fully unlocked phone on 1.1.3 or 1.1.4 you have to either downgrade the bootloader to 3.9 or 3.9FB OR run with a mismatched baseband (04.02, no google maps)..

before i had an 8gb with 1.1.3, i didnt downgrade the bl and used ziphone and in order to get GOOGLE Locate me to work, i had to use "Locate Me" app FIRST....i was on 4.6bl

so ur saying if i am on 1.1.3/4........and i downgrade to 3.9fb, i will get GOOGLE locate me to work WITHOUT having to use "Locate Me" app before??

Can anyone confirm this?....this is the only reason i see to downgrade.....i need this confirmed before please.

confirmed. I used Locate Me before, and it was great, but the native "locate me" function in Google Maps is far superior, and reason enough to upgrade.

Dude, what are you talking about? People have unlocked the 1.1.4 baseband with BL4.6 AND BL3.9.
