You can now recieve Voicemail Notifaction SMS's and SMS's from your bank etc.

What is solved is, you can now recieve SMS's from so called Alphanumeric Senders

The CPU speed in the iPhone was always the same, no difference between 1.1.1 and 1.1.2.
There are a couple of bugfixes, the internationalization and of course the added O2, T-Mobile, Orange F(?) support which adds certain features available with these three carriers only.
The 1.1.2 update is not vital but if you think you can go through the update/unlock hassle without bricking your iPhone or make it an iPod touch only, DO IT. I have two modded 1.1.2 iPhones with bb 4.02.13_G and they work great.

It can't be excluded that Apple sooner or later blocks iTunes support for older firmwares but til now, even FW 1.01 seems to work with the latest iTunes 7.5.

Btw: the iPhone is no PSP, even if there are technological similarities regarding the CPU design. It isn't necessary to speed up the CPU speed since the iPhone GUI is working smoothly anyway. This is the advantage of the "Micro-OSX" running with the iPhone.

I don't think this bug has been fixed, yet. Had it this morning again on my 1.1.2 iPhone ...

    Wrong,

Sysinfo reports 1.1.1 at 400Mhz, and 1.1.2 at 412 Mhz with a 103Mhz Bus speed
