I see this huge frenzy of people upgrading/wanting to upgrade their phone and still have it unlocked with the 1.1.1 FW. Is it really worth the upgrade? I'm still running 1.02 and I'm completely happy with it, would it be worth it for me, or anyone else in this case to upgrade to 1.1.1 other than having wifi iTunes which I don't use anyway....?

The most immediate improvement is the double click to favourites/iPod and double clicking while music is playing brings up iPod controls which is very handy when you browsing etc and don't want to manually change tracks.

iTunes is obviously good fun if you ask me - letting you listen to samples of virtually every song ever and of course download if u want.

1.1.1 also seems more stable to me - I used to suffer Safari crashes all the time while listening to music but now it happens very rarely, although I am sure everyone feels differently about it and has different experiences with that!

I'm kinda in the same boat, I dont use wifi iTunes but I like all the 3rd party apps..... Customize summerbord etc.... I know some third party stuff needs to be re-programmed to work with 1.1.1 and not sure what will work and what won't! I unocked originally with unlock pxl but then flashed the baseband back and unlocked with ipsf since I had already paid for it & heard it didn't jack with the baseband!! Just still kinda sounds like a dice roll for nothing really!!

It's absolutely not worth upgrading from 1.0.2 to 1.1.x imho...I just had some time to compare both of them and the only useful function is the double-tapp to favorites. BTW, I noticed that 1.0.2 seems to react faster than 1.1.2 when returning back to springboard (from "settings" i.e.).
