    Default Address Book issues.

Basically, if I add a contact to my address book in the UK, I'll put either 07 or if they call me first, its saved as +44. Now when they ring and they are saved as a +44 number, their name comes up on the phone when they call or text. If I save it as a 07 number, it doesn't work. And if they are saved as a +44 number, then if I miss a call from them in the phone app, I see a number and not their name. This is so annoying. I am running 2.2.1 on Vodafone UK unlocked by a Rebel SIM.

Do you mean that a number that you dial looks like: 07-12345
And when they call you, it looks like: +4407-12345

If that's the case, you need a Caller ID fix. It's weird, because UK should be supported by default, at least I think so.

If not, please provide more information.
+44 is UK's country code, right?!
    But what 07 stands for?

    iPhone 4G, 16GB, JailBreak.
(and an old iPhone 2G with broken glass )
    Black iPod 5gen, 30GB.

In the UK, all mobile numbers start with 07. When I get called by my friends before they are in the address book, it will say 07xxxxxxxxx being their number. Now if I save the 07 number into my address book, the enxt time they ring their number will say +447xxxxxxxx. So I add that and replace it as the mobile number for the 07 number. Then when they ring, I can see it is them. But if I miss the call, it will say 07xxxxxxxx rather than their name. Is it because my iPhone is a AT&T phone?

Make sure your regional settings are correct: Settings->General->International->Region Format

They already were. I think I may take some screenshots to see if they help.

Right. Thinking logically, I think I can explain this better. When I save my contacts with the international dialing code of +44 for the UK, I can see it is them who is calling me or texting me. However, in my missed calls, it cannot associate the number with the dialing code to the number without the dialing code, the way it is displayed in the missed call list. If I add a contact without the dialing code, when they ring me, I cannot see who it is, and just the number. But if I recieve a missed call, I can see it is them. Basically, I want the iPhone to let me see who've I've missed calls from by name!

AJV17, I understood what you have.
I used to have the same thing because my region format is not on the list. I had to install some sort of a Call ID fix.
But England is on the list.

    Go back to Settings->General->International
and copy here the text written at the bottom, especially the number.
Also, I would like to know what did you set the Region Format to.

    This is weird!

Have you tried to change the region format setting to some other country, reboot. And then set it back to UK and reboot one more time?

    A few more questions:
    1. Do you have a jailbreak iPhone?
    2. Have this issue just appeared one day, or had it been there since you got firmware 2.2.1?
    3. Did you have this issue with previous firmware versions?

    iPhone 4G, 16GB, JailBreak.
(and an old iPhone 2G with broken glass )
    Black iPod 5gen, 30GB.

No jailbreak, and I got the phone as 2.2.1 OOTB with baseband 2.30.00, which means I have to use a rebel SIM, but this isn't the problem I don't believe. Will try the reboot in a moment.
