    Default Add Carriers to iPhone?

I had a question. Would it be possible, rather than forcing the Springboard to look for the AT&T carrier logo and changing it to ad a carrier and a logo for it by patching the springboard? I mean that would enable one to know when they're roaming or not, and what network they're on. I was just wondering if anyone had tried this. I thought about doing it myself, and I'm pretty much a noob. I mean I'm pretty good with everything, like i'm comforable in terminal, ssh, and .plist editing, but I think this is much more difficult.

I am really not sure what you are asking!! You're on Rogers now, doesn't your phone display Rogers properly or something?

    Cheers!

I know it does. However, it only shows "ROG..." I guess not a big deal.

Oh, okay, you want to to show the WHOLE "Rogers" not just a part of it? Sorry I wasn't trying to be rude with my previous post, I just really wasn't sure what you were asking for.

Any how, check these out to do what you want (again, not exactly sure what you want)...

Yea I've used the first link. The second one looks a bit better.

What I'm looking for is being able to add the carrier to the phone just like AT&T is in there. Like when you're roaming it won't continue to look for one carrier logo, but use the correct on. It's not a big deal, and I don't think it's possible. Forget about it.

Its possible to patch springboard to use a smaller font for the carrier name. If you go down to size 9 or 10 (default is 12 IIRC) it should be small enough to fit ROGERS.
