I like some other have the "this accessory is not made to work with iphone" message appear whenever i power up the phone. Even though nothing is connected to the phone...thus no sound works out of the iphones speaker except the ringer. It seems like the problem arises when you either put on a skin (invisible shield) or damage the dock port with some other accessory.

The speaker it self is not damaged, the iphone just thinks some other accessory is connected therefor it routes all sounds through the dock or headphone jack. (except the ringer witch still works)

The only way I think one could solve this problem, is if there is some sort of third party sound app that allows sound to be routed through the dock and the internal speaker at the same time, therefore overriding the software speaker bypass. (i think )

Does anyone know of such an app? Or any sound management app?
