Angry About to give up...so many restores/unlocks and nothing works

    These are what I've tried:

Restoring/Unlocking on a Mac using both the manual method from iphone.unlock.no and the Unlocker.app uploaded to the iPhone
Restoring/Unlocking on a PC using the same methods
Reflashing the baseband using both the .fls and .eep files
Have tried the process countless times with the original ATT SIM, with the T-Mobile SIM I want to use, and with no SIM at all. The manual process always gives me an ERROR and +CLCK=1 during the last two AT+CLCK commands. The Unlock.app does what it does and says complete. Despite it all, I still get this when I put in my T-Mobile SIM (I've tried using both a normal plan SIM and a T-Mobile Pre-Paid SIM)

Incorrect SIM: This iPhone must be used with an approved SIM.

I'm sick of looking at the damn iPhone, to be quite honest--I've gone through this process probably 50 times since Monday. Any ideas or recent discoveries?

A friend was having the same problem and it turned out he was activating the phone after jailbreak by inputting the ICCID that was written on the box instead of the one on the sim card he wanted to use. It would activate but not unlock after running the program succesfully.
Make sure you try once more with a full restore, insert new sim, jailbreak, activation with the new sim ICCID that you intend to use. (its written on the card or if you have it inserted in an activated phone you can read it at settings-general-about).
Then install unlock software. I use app tap and transmit. Run it and reboot.

FINALLY! It's ALIVE :-)...I tried your suggestion and activated the phone with the SIM that I wanted to use (T-Mobile), but instead of using the Free SIM Unlock, I tried using the SimFree app that I had paid $50 for a week ago. I had tried it at the beginning of the week, but it kept giving me errors, so I gave up on it. But upon doing it a second time, FINALLY IT WORKS! I don't know if it did something the free unlock wouldn't, or whether it was the initial activation with the T-Mobile SIM that did it, but it's working...

I used iNdependence, and instead of activating the phone with the original ATT ICCID, I used the one from the SIM that I want to use. You might have to try it a few times--it can be fussy. I suggested closing and reopening iNdependence before each try.

I'm having the same problems. Did you get the "unable to download firmware" error?
