Default [8GB iPhone 1.1.4(1.1.2OTB)][Solved] OpenSSH not working

I have installed OpenSSH on my iPhne and WinSCP on my PC. But when I try to connect it just says 'Network Error: Connection Timed Out' I reinstalled OpenSSH and it didn't fix it. I have the Customize 2.0 Beta, could it be messing with it?

    Thanks,
    DJ McG

    hmm thats strange

When you first tried to SSH in, winSCP would have said "host has not answered for more than 15 seconds... still waiting..." keep waiting after it says that as the host keps are being generated. Then it will open up and you will see the OS of iPhone. If you got past that step it means you should be able to connect.

Make sure the computer you are using and iPhone are on the same WiFi network, and that iPhone has a static IP. What might be happening is your ip isnt static so your router keeps giving it a new ip, meaning that the ip that you are entering isnt the real iPhone ip anymore.

If nothing works, do a restore and try again. That should fix it.

It wont mess up unless you unplus the cord during restore. And even after doing that you could probably restore again in DFU mode. DFU mode is special because it has its own bootloader, so restoring the OS in iTunes and fucking that up wont affect DFU modes bootloader. DFU mode is special, but its not "dangerous" its just as simple, as far as "danger" goes as a normal restore, eg clicking the restore button in iTunes
