7R739 is or isn't 1.1.1 by default ? we have to focus on week of production
Hello !
After reading threads i understood that we may focus on the week number and not the serial 7R7 or 7U7...
I think that the week number are the 2 digits after the 7R7.
Mine is 7R739. What is yours ?
We need to list week and firmware version.
i will receive it next week.
Does someone have bought a 7R739 ? What is the firmware version
Post your week !
Thanks,
Matthieu

I dont see the point.
Contrary to hardware like the PSP that does not move THAT fast of the shelves, the iphone has been selling well, which means stock gets replenished pretty fast. People seem to already be getting 1.1.1 phones from apple stores. And its not like you can walk in a brick & mortar (which might have had left over stock) and buy an iphone either.
Alas, until the Dev Team (Jebus bless em) comes up with an unlock for 1.1.1 i dont see people getting more unlocked iphones any time soon.

Thanks for your answer.
The point is that i am in France and if week 39 are 1.1.1 i have to quickly send it back to US for money back
and wait wait wait for french market
By the way it could be a good clue for new buyers who want a 1.0.2

Id think that the proper way to determine this would be to ask the seller about WHEN he bought the phone (ask for a proof of purchase scan just to be sure).
If its roughly the week prior to that of the new firmware's release there would be a good chance of it being 1.0.2.

I already asked this in:
http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=8905
but got no answers yet.
Anyway, we are really only interested in phones purchased this week onwards and I suspect 38 is border line, 39, 40 onwards should definitely be 1.1.1
I know 37's are 1.0.2

Hello,
why instead of being woried about is my boxed iPhone firmware 1.1.1, you people just don't buy the 4gb version? It's 100% sure it's 1.0.x firmware. There is no 1.1.1 new 4gb iphones, it was discontinued!!! What do you prefer? A $400 brick or a perfect working 4gb iphone??? Use your brains!
