does anyone else find that hard to believe? I mean they announced yesterday that they have the solution ready and will launch it today.... at the time of the announcement they claimed to have 450,000 registered users signed up for an invite... how could that be? I can't believe 450,000 people knew about them before yesterday...

They've been around since July 2nd, three days after the iPhone's release.

Back then many figured it was simply a scam to collect e-mail addresses and/or IMEIs, although there were obviously 450,000 or so folks who didn't think so....

funny how there aren't even 450,000 iphones out there to get the IMEI's from... hmmmm

Actually, they didn't. Recent statements by Apple are that they expect to hit the 1 millionth sale before the end of September.
