tornadoxl meant do a full restore to 1.1.3 in itunes.

But that will only fix corrupt baseband, no idea about bootloader.

I too had this problem. All sorted now.

When you were on 1.1.1 jailbroken /installed oKtoprep and you started the update, did you shift-click restore or update?
I realise that you say you are well capable of this but just in case, you have to shift-click UPDATE and let it do its thang.

When you get the error 1015 blah blah, use the jailbreak 1.1.2 .bat file to boot from recovery (try re-downloading this). I first attempted this and couldn't get it to work. I then found re-downloading solved my problem, i dont know why!
When the phone boots, then try running the .bat file again (with SSH ticked).

It should then go through the motions.
If this doesn't work, take a break and chill for a bit. I found that sitting trying to sort this out will only give you a pain in your ass. The answer may come after you leace it for a bit
    Hope that helps

    Hi PureTalent

Looks like you had the same problem as myself.

I totally lost my baseband. all gone. nothing worked. i tried what you did (restore to 112) that got the phone usable as a touch but then it would not accept even the origional at and t sim in it. it kept telling me to repair and call apple.

So after many hours of searching and stuffing i still coudl not recover my baseband (no imei, wifi, bt or firmware version) so i decided to bite the bullet and do a RESTORE to 1.1.3 using ITUNES.

This made me happy as soon as it had finished i could tell from the activation screen that my imei was back to its correct one and the sim error messsage was not appearing anymore for the at and t sim.

I then followed the various guides online. i did things in this order.

    0. Put the phone into DFU mode using ibricker 0.91 (you will see a white screen instead of the itunes usb cable logo)

    1. RESTORE to 1.1.2 using itunes.

    2. RESTORE to 1.1.1 using itunes.

    3. Jailbreak 1.1.1 using guide in genius bar

    4. UPGRADE to 1.1.2 using guide in genius bar (install oktoprep first)

    5. Run unlock script from BIG BOSS repo http://iphone.sleepers.net/gunlock.html
(at this point it would accept my vodafone au sim card but i would not get signal)

    6. Ran 1.1.3 jailbreak dev team which soft updates a jailbroken 1.1.2 phone to 1.1.3. (installed this from ispazio.net repo.)

    7. Phone got stuck on 'attempting reboot' so booted it myself and powered on. Signal good. picked up vodafone au carrier fine. makes calls, sms everything etc.

I hope this helps. please pm me if i can answer anything else.
